Please join the Women of Color Advisory Network (WOCAN) for the March Monthly Communities of Color Organizing Workshop (MCOCOW) on Friday, March 30th from Noon – 1:30.
This month’s workshop will feature Lakia Poole and Tammy Guild, Program Coordinators for the Whyld Girlsprogram, a gender specific group of Children & Family Urban Ministries. The Whyld Girls program is designed to assist 6th-12th grade girls with both their personal empowerment and academic success. Lakia and Tammy will share information about the program’s components and the girl’s community work. Hand crafted jewelry from their own business, Product with Purpose, will also be for sale.
WOCAN’s Monthly Communities of Color Organizing Workshops are an opportunity for people of color working in the social service sector, nonprofit organizations and other human services professions to come together and share information about their organizations, develop new skills, network and learn about potential job opportunities available at the agencies present. MCOCOW’s are held the last Friday of each month. All interested are welcome to attend.
Please see the attached flyer for details. If you have questions, need accommodation to attend or would like your organization featured at a MCOCOW please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
