*We’ve redesigned this popular TSB Workshop, “Doing Business with the State of Iowa” to be more interactive and flexible so you can learn everything you need to know to do business with State of Iowa agencies! We thank the Iowa DOT for hosting this highly-rated workshop once again at their headquarters in Ames, Iowa.

We open with a general session and then you can meet with purchasing agents from the Iowa DOT, Iowa State University, and the Dept of Administrative Services (Iowa’s central procurement authority). Plus, you can find out more about obtaining the DOT’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise designation and their Small Business contracts program.

You’ll walk away with quality, face-to-face connections and a greater understanding of these large agencies’ bidding process. This workshop also includes hands-on assistance in registering your business with the State (and these large state agencies) in our state-of-the-art computer lab. Stay for the whole workshop or attend only the parts relevant to you and your needs.

*This workshop is specifically targeted to existing certified targeted small businesses in Iowa. However, if your company is located in Iowa and the majority of your company is owned by a woman, a minority, or a disabled person, you are welcome to come as well! It’s free, includes lunch and a tour of the Iowa DOT (optional). Invest in your business by investing your time to attend this excellent learning opportunity!
