Dear Friends,

The Bureau of Nutrition, Health and Transportation Services of the Iowa Department of Education (State Agency) actively promotes increased participation and diversity in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).

To achieve the State Agency’s CACFP goal of increased participation and diversity, the State agency requests your assistance in distributing the attached information about CACFP to the people your agency serves.

The attached CACFP information applies to individual home providers who care for children in their home, organizations/individuals interested in operating an emergency shelter or child or adult care center.

Thank you for assisting the CACFP State agency in expanding participation and diversity in the CACFP. Feel free to contact me if you need further clarification regarding this request.

Sincerely,

Robin Holz, MS, RD
