Saturday, July 9 · 9:00am – 2:00pm
This is your chance to see and buy items made by Des Moines teens, such as pottery, jewelry, maple/walnut cutting boards, bird houses and food!. Sample the Freedom Blend coffees and see the coffee roaster demonstrations each hour! The 6-acre Freedom for Youth campus is easy to access, next to the QuikTrip at MLKing and Hickman Road.Discover wonderful, unique gift items made by these fantastic teenagers. Some of the teen artists will be at their tables to tell you how they made their items. There will also be interactive art activities, as well as fun things to eat and drink – like sno-art! Try your hand at the water balloon launch and popsicle kayak racing! There are even prizes! See you Saturday, July 9!


Tuesday/Wednesday, July 12/13th 1:30-4:30pm

Next week Iowa Energy standout Moses Ehambe will be leading basketball clinics for 3-5 graders (Tuesday) and 6-8 graders (Wednesday) from 1:30-4:30 pm at Freedom for Youth! Even more importantly than his basketball skills, you’ll want to say what he has to say about God.


Wednesday, August 3rd 11am-7pm

Freedom for Youth is co-hosting a back to school health fair at East High School on August 3rd from 11am to 7pm. Along with churches in the area, we will be filling 3,000 backpacks filled with school supplies for the youth in our community.
