Learning of the Lord Revival Ministries, Inc. COGIC is the parent organization for our non-profit, 501C3 organization,
“For I Was Hungered” Outreach & Youth Services, Inc. Below is listed the majority of the projects which fall under that umbrella:
Bread Ministry – serving approximately 500 families monthly.
Food Pantry – serving approximately 100 families monthly.
Monthly Meat Distribution – serving approximately 100 families monthly.
Clothing closet – serving approximately 100 individuals monthly.
Baby Shop – formula, diapers, wipes, furniture, clothing – serving approximately 25-30 new mothers monthly.
Shoe Ministry – serving approximately 100 individuals monthly.
Remedial Services – mental health services for children – serving 70 children monthly. This project is paid for through the State of Iowa.
Tutoring – serving approximately 50 children monthly.
Fine Arts – DOP (Definition of Praise Dance Troup) – 25 youth involved.
3P (Power, Principle, Praise) Gospel Choir- 25 young adults 13-25 involved.
Hospitality – ministry is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1-4pm, for the homeless can come in to socialize, watch Christian TV, warm up in the winter, have coffee and donuts, shower, etc. – serving approximately 50 homeless persons weekly.
Personal Needs Pantry – shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, soap, socks, tee shirts.
Family Team Meetings – a tool which surrounds families with supports and people to help them solve their own personal issues – serving approximately 25 families monthly. This project is paid for through the Iowa Department of Human Services.
Referral Assistance for rent and emergency needs through the Black Ministerial Alliance and other partnerships in the city.
