Event Assistant

Job description:

Work as part of a team to represent Gee Willie Entertainment at special events throughout the state of Iowa. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in event organization and management.

Responsibilities:

Load equipment at warehouse into transportation vehicles. Set up and tear down of equipment at event sites. Operate interactive amusement rides at event in accordance with safety standards. Attend one company meeting per month.

Skills Required:

Ability to work in a team environment
Good communication skills, even when problems arise
Strong work ethic – responsible, dependable and punctual
Ability to be positive and energetic
Ability to work with all personality types – including children
Enjoy working outside, often in the sun for extended periods of time
Ability to work long days (sometimes 10 – 12 hours)
Physically fit – able to lift over 50 lbs.

Job Details:

Hourly Rate – Range $8.50 to $11/hour
Must be at least 17 years old to apply (or turning 17 by June)
Must be available most weekends between May and September (and some weekdays)
Must be available to work on July 4 (busiest day – NO EXCEPTIONS)
