Neighborhood Leadership Classes

The Neighborhood Resident Leadership Certificate Program is offered by DMACC. Training is designed to provide residents with the skills, tools, and confidence to effectively network with each other, communicate with government, and become involved in neighborhood and community organizations.

The neighborhoods in the Mid City are able to apply for scholarships, provided by Rebuilding Together and Making Connections, that will pay for the classes.To find out if you are eligible, call Rebuilding Together at 515-964-6800

You can take one or two courses or earn a Neighborhood Resident Leadership Certificate by completing all six core leadership courses, plus electives.  Core leadership topics include effective communication, conflict management, and team building.

Learn to recruit new members, fundraising, doorknocking, holding better meetings, and a myriad of other choices.
