– Freedom Quest: Middle and High School programming
– Transitional Housing: 18-21 year olds
– Rural Outreach: Drop-in centers in Mitchellville, Osceola, and Jewell

If you are a child in need or a volunteer with valuable skills to pass on to the next generation, there is definitely a place for you at Freedom for Youth.  There are opportunities for one-time volunteers and anyone looking for a long-term setup.

Freedom for Youth Ministries opened in 2004 as a drop-in center for distressed and impoverished youth of the Des Moines and surrounding areas. The organization now resides at their renovated six-acre campus on Hickman Road. The campus includes a wood shop, art/pottery studio, worship center, mechanical shop, metals shop, craft store, computer lab, teaching kitchen and recreational center. There are other Freedom Centers and youth programs beginning throughout Des Moines and Iowa. To learn more, visit www.freedomforyouth.org.
