Habitat Homebuyer Meetings

Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity will be having informational meetings next week about the process to become a Habitat Homebuyer. In order to start the application process, you must attend one of these meetings, sign in, and stay for the whole time – around 2 hours. Your two different chances are:

Thursday, February 24th, 6:30pm at Epworth United Methodist Church

and

Saturday, February 26th, 9:30am at Epworth United Methodist Church

Epworth United Methodist Church is located at 412 Euclid in Des Moines. There is no need to register or call for a reservation.

Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity is a Christian housing ministry that sells new and renovated houses at no interest to qualified low-income families in Polk County. Habitat serves families at 30-50% of the area median income. Homebuyer families are selected based on criteria that does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, creed, color, gender, religion, physical or mental disability, national origin, or family status. The three criteria are:

1) The need for housing

2) Ability to pay

3)Willingness to partner

These criteria will be fully discussed at the meetings.
