Empowerment Gardens Preparing For A New Year

The Empowerment Gardens(EPG) were established as a way to encourage community involvement, develop community pride, positive perception, and increase access to fresh fruits and vegetables in the King-Irving and Mondamin Presidential neighborhoods. A lot of work has gone into the project to get it up and running, and after all of that hard work 2011 is going to be the year of the garden in the Mid City. Below is a video detailing the history and goals of EPG and a link to the powerpoint document.
